Goathorn and Newton (New Town)
"Goathorn is 3 miles NW of Studland and a quay on Poole Harbour from which large quantities of clay are shipped". Kellys 1880
Peninsular bounded to the west by Newton Bay and Brands to the east.
The 19th century settlement is at the base of the penisular and brickfield and quay used to ship out clay.
